Per-agent pricing is reasonable when every support employee needs a full helpdesk workspace, advanced reporting, ticket routing, service-level controls and automation. It can be less practical when customer questions are handled by an owner, manager, delivery coordinator and part-time assistant.
A business may have four people who need to read context and send replies even though only one works on support full-time. A seat-based system counts every person who needs full replying access. The alternative is to restrict access and return to forwarding screenshots.
A transparent four-person calculation
Consider an online store with one support manager, the owner, a delivery coordinator and a returns specialist. All four may need to reply directly.
| Product | Published entry price | Four people/month | Four people/year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Freshdesk Growth | $19 per agent/month | $76 | $912 |
| Intercom Essential | $29 per full seat/month | $116 | $1,392 |
| GramDesk | About $3 per active bot/month | About $3 | About $36 |
Competitor prices checked September 5, 2026. Calculations use annual-billing prices and four people with full replying access. Competitor prices and conditions may change.
Freshdesk Growth currently lists $19 per agent/month with annual billing on the official Freshdesk pricing page. Intercom Essential lists $29 per seat/month with annual billing, plus usage charges such as Fin outcomes where applicable, on the official Intercom pricing page.
GramDesk costs $0.10 per active bot per day, approximately $3 per bot per month, with unlimited teammates and no separate per-agent charge.
These products are not feature-equivalent. The calculation demonstrates the effect of the billing model; it does not claim that GramDesk replaces every Freshdesk or Intercom capability.
What about Intercom Lite seats?
Intercom Advanced currently includes 20 Lite seats and Expert includes 50. They can help colleagues who need limited internal collaboration, so not every occasional participant necessarily needs a paid Full seat. However, those allowances are attached to plans starting at $85 and $132 per Full seat/month with annual billing. Intercom also states that only Full seats can send customer messages and use complete support functionality.
An owner who only reads an occasional conversation may use a Lite seat. A delivery coordinator or returns specialist who replies to customers needs full replying access. The table therefore assumes four Full participants. Every team should calculate its own mix.

One active bot
$0.10/day · about $3/month · no operator seats
With one connected bot, customers contact one public business identity, conversations appear as separate topics, several teammates see the history, replies are sent from Telegram and personal employee profiles remain hidden. Adding another teammate does not add a separate operator fee.
The low price reflects a narrower product. GramDesk does not include complete ticket lifecycle management, workforce planning, enterprise analytics or complex automation. It focuses on organized conversations for Telegram-first teams.
When per-agent pricing makes sense
A full helpdesk can justify seat costs when the company needs formal ticket assignment, multiple queues, strict SLA measurement, advanced reports, workforce management, quality control, complex channel routing, enterprise access controls and deep internal integrations.
Choosing a lightweight tool only because it is cheaper would be a mistake if those capabilities are required.
When pricing per bot makes more sense
A per-bot model fits when the team already works in Telegram, needs one or two public support identities, several people occasionally reply, customer volume is manageable and shared context matters more than enterprise reporting.
The owner does not need to become a full-time agent. The delivery coordinator may reply only to delayed orders. Giving those people the necessary conversation context should not automatically create another software seat.
Compare workflows, not only prices
Ask where customers write, where the team replies, whether another employee can see previous context, whether conversations remain separate, how personal profiles are protected and whether formal tickets or reports are required.
If the main problem is lost messages and personal chats, a shared Telegram inbox may provide enough structure. If the main problem is enterprise routing, governance and analytics, choose a full helpdesk.
GramDesk offers a clear middle ground: one active support bot for about $3 per month, unlimited teammates in the private group and a conversation model built around Telegram topics.
